Can't open or edit my app

Hi,

Everytime I try to open my app, I get a Deploy Error "Cannot deploy application. Please make sure it is not currently in use." and an additional error message "Failed deploying files. Please make sure application is not currently running and try again." right before Cameyo crashes. I tried -remove, it didn't help,

I can't edit my package. However, the App functions when it's launched from a usb stick. 

Any tips or solutions on how to solve this problem are appreciated.

I have not had this problem, so I can only guess. Since the app works OK by USB (where the sandbox is also on the USB) but not on the computer (where the sandbox is in the VOS folder), my guess is the sandbox in the VOS folder may be corrupted. If you can edit the app on the USB drive, try changing the Data Storage location to "Under the executable directory" (where it already is on the USB drive). Then you can copy the app from USB to your computer and see if it works OK. Later after you reboot the computer, you can go to the VOS folder and delete the folder that has the sandbox files for your app.

Maybe file is corrupted, it's can't open or edit anymore. Question is why file become corrupted ??? If you forse close the cameyo packager or cameyo editor before finished the packaging it's will be corrupted. So my
suggestion is repackage the program.

I have tried repackaging before. I don't think the file is corrupted because it works from USB, just not from the PC.

I checked your file. can't open with editor, API error: FAILURE.
it's not cameyo package or it's corrupted.

When I copy the file created on the USB to the VOS file on my PC, the application works.

I noticed that there are a bunch of missing files that do not get created in the VOS file.

Jim-3 I think you are right the VOS folder is corrupted, but I can't change the Data Storage location because I'm still unable to edit the app.

There could be a problem with the Cameyo sandbox files on your PC. If I had this situation, I would try these steps:
1) Download a fresh copy of Cameyo and save it on a flash drive that did not have any Cameyo stuff on it;
2) Copy your app (but only the app, not the previously created sandbox folders) to that new flash drive;
3) Run the Cameyo.exe on the new flash drive, and select the edit option if it gives you a menu to choose from;
4) Try to edit your app to change the data storage location on the new flash drive and save it there. Then see if it will work OK.
