Not working in a browser on linux

Hi

I tried to play an app (which always works in my SeaMonkey browser on Win7) in Firefox on Ubuntu 12.10 (as a VM on the same laptop) but I only see a black screen (not even a message trying to connect). Doesn't it work on Linux?

The included Firefox version with Linux Mint 18.2 boot disc was able to Play an app.
