Virtual Integration not working
Permalink

Hello,

I captured an installation inside a virtual machine, and in the package settings, I enabled virtual integration. Now, when I launch the packaged app inside a real OS (Win7), the virtualized application folders are not injected into the OS (they don't appear in Explorer), but when I launch the same package from within the VM in which it was created, the virtualized folders DO appear in Explorer. Any idea why this would be? Does the virtual layer depend on some other Windows settings or services that I may have set differently in the two OS environments?

Just to clarify, I made sure to reset the VM to a state prior to when the installation was captured, so the application's folders are definitely virtualized and not actual folders.

Many thanks if someone can advise.

Bumpity-bump... what Windows settings/services etc does the virtual integration layer depend on that may differ from one Windows environment to another? It seems odd that one Win7 environment can handle the virtual integration, while another Win7 environment cannot.

Can you upload your package to a file-sharing site and provide download URL?  You can PM me if you do not want it posted publicly.  WeTransfer is convenient for uploaders and downloaders.
