A few weeks ago, a client of ours reported that our Cameyo packaged application was taking a very long time to load (about 10 minutes to deploy/open a 50MB Cameyo package hosted on a network drive over a gigabit LAN connection). After an investigation, we discovered that their virus scanner, Microsoft Endpoint Protection Scanner, was causing the issue. We confirmed this by opening the Cameyo package without any issues after uninstalling the Microsoft Endpoint Protection Scanner from one of the machines where we observed the problem.
The client was able to use the Cameyo package and Microsoft Endpoint Protection without any problems up until only recently. I can only presume that the recent problem has been caused by an update to Microsoft Endpoint Protection Scanner.
The client added an exception for our Cameyo packaged application to Microsoft Endpoint Protection Scanner, however it seems that the exception only acts if the scanner shows a 'false-positive'. So even with the exception, it still scans the executable, causing the slow deployment/opening.
We tried to re-build our Cameyo package using the latest build of Cameyo on the website, but got the same result.
Is there a workaround or a fix on the way to address this issue?
