Problems with Visio 2010
Permalink

Hi,

I'm new with cameyo I'm running some test before buy the enterprise licenses. I virtualized Microsoft Visio 2010, I didn't have any problem.

At the client machine I copied the package, installed the app-v kit and It worked fine. Then I tried to simulate a package removal on the client machine, then at the command line I ran <package-name> - remove.

After that I tried to run the package again, and I'm getting this error:

Any suggestions ?

Regards

Hello Croque,

"I'm getting this error:"--it didn't come through.  If you were trying to include a screen shot, please save it to a file, and drag it to the text area or click Attach Image(s) and select it.

Hi mule,

Yes it seems that the interface removed the image, but that problem was solved.

What I'm facing now, as you now I have to install the office appv kit before launch any office applications with cameyo, then I installed it at loged in as administrator, I'm able to run visio, but If i switch to a user without administrative privileges I can run it, since it tries to install the license again.

I'm getting this error:

Microsoft Office cannot verify the license for this application. A repair attempt failed or was canceled by the user. The application will now shut down.

I understand that if you log in as an Administrator, your Visio package works in conjunction with Office 2010 Deployment Kit, but if you log in as a Standard User, the package shuts down without giving you a chance to activate.

Please check Services under the Standard user and confirm that Office Software Protection Platform is present.  The Deployment Kit should have created this service if it installed correctly.

Hi again Mule,

Yes, the problem is as you mentioned. The OSPP service was stopped and in manual mode, I changed it to automatic and started it, but the problem persist.

I tried changing the log on as user of that service to local system and administrator but it didn't work neither.

Regards

@morphin

We were unable to reproduce croque's issue, so I asked for his package.  He created a new package using different parameters and no longer had the issue himself; he did not specify what his new settings were.

That was four years ago.  We now recommend setting up a Cameyo Server and installing Office natively to be accessed through Cameyo Online.  Please note that a Volume License of Office is required to install on a computer running Terminal Services.
