I'm away for winter and am using a Win7 64bit PC. My machine up in snow country is a WinXP PC. If I virtualize a program on the 64 bit machine, will it work on the WinXP 32 bit machine? I've thought about downloading Virtualbox from Cameyo's public apps, but I don't know about virtualizing a program wiithin a virtualized program.
I suggest downloading what you can from the Library. For applications that you need that are not available through Public Apps, I suggest using Online Packager.
Usually, you would package on x86 and use on x64. If you must do it in reverse, then make sure you are packaging the 32-bit version of the program on the 64-bit machine.
I believe VirtualBox requires a driver to work, so I don't know if a virtualized VirtualBox would be fully functional. Perhaps it works well enough for some users.
