X2Go client doesn't work

The X2Go client doesn't seem to work with 2.5.1139.

http://code.x2go.org/releases/X2GoClient_latest_mswin32-setup.exe

If I use RAM mode, I get the MSVCR90.dll error. If I edit the package for disk mode, it just seems to immediately exit - no error or any on screen display...

That one launched anyway... Strange, I was packaging on a clean Windows 7 x64 SP1 install and it didn't seem to work for me...

 

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to fully function once launched. I can't get it to connect to the server and show a display.

Hello Jmp242,

I built this package on a clean VM of XP SP3 x86.  Please download it and let me know if it launches for you.  If it does not run, please advise the OS, Service Packs, and architecture of your target machine, e.g. Win7 SP1 x64.

I agree that it's strange your package built on a clean Win7 SP1 x64 didn't launch for you.  My first build was on XP SP3 x86 and it didn't run on x64 systems, but my second package on Win7 SP1 x64 did run.  The package you downloaded was installed to the root drive instead of %ProgramFiles% on XP SP3 x86, and it launched on x64 machines.

Please try running with -SafeMode parameter, i.e. appname.cameyo.exe -SafeMode, and advise whether it connects to the server.

No luck, it hangs as soon as I try and type in the session information using -SafeMode ...

Did you try -Remove, waiting for Success message, and then -SafeMode?

So I just tried re-packaging myself on x64 Windows 7 enterprise. Latest Cameyo (2.6) and Latest X2Go client. Same issue with MSVCR90.dll...
