at home I installed MS Office 2003 and 2007 on Windows XP. On an other Windows XP computer both launched with some little errors, but they launched. At work I have Windows 7 (without admin privileges) and both did not run!
Should I install Office on Win7 if I want to launch it on Win7?
1. Did you package in a clean virtual machine? 2. What version of Cameyo did you use to create your packages? 3. Were the little errors you received on the other XP machine Cameyo-specific errors or MS Office-specific errors? 4. Exactly what happens when you try to launch the packages on Win7 as a Standard user?
I have an Office Enterprise 2007 package that was created in a clean XP virtual machine. It launches on Win7 as a Standard user.
yesterday is installed VirtualBox and therein Win7. On this "clean" virtual machine I installed Office 2003. Now I try to start it at work (Win7 without admin privileges). When I start Word I get
Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.
Something about a missing DLL. With Outlook I get the same Error.
Okay, I'll try virtualizing Office 2003 Professional Enterprise on Win7. So that I can come as close to your experience as possible, please advise the following:
1. Did you package with Cameyo-2.0.890 or Beta version, Cameyo-2.5.1071? 2. Did you build package on 32-bit or 64-bit? 3. Are you trying package on 32-bit or 64-bit? 4. What, if any, Office 2003 Service Packs did you install to be included in the package?
