I have an application that calls into simple mapi and launches the mail window with an attachment of whatever mail client the user has installed.
This works fine until I actually send the email. There is no error the email is just not sent.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit with Outlook 2010 installed.
I have tracked this down to a problem with outlooks ost file. If I move the ost file to the "Documents" folder then everything works fine.
I think that Cameyo is trying to virtualize the ost file. Is there a way to tell Cameyo to not virtualize any process related to Outlook? or possibly a better solution?
The only workaround I was able to find is to give Full access to the folder where your pst file is located. The reason it is working for you with the pst file in Documents is that your package has Full access to your Documents folder. Once you move the pst file to an Isolated folder, Outlook does not send the email.
I believe ThinApp handles virtualized applications and Outlook in a similar--albeit more complicated--manner.
I'd really like to get this fixed or at least have a plausable work around.
I've tried giving full rights to the ost file and directory but the only thing that seemed to work was telling outlook my ost file is in a location that Cameyo deems acceptable to write to.
