I would recommend trying the packages on a VM that is the same as your host. Ideally, it shouldn't matter, but if you want to see how the packages behave on your host and you're first trying them in a virtual environment, the best test would be to match the VM to the host. That way, you should see no surprises when you decide to use the packages on your real machine.
However, I am using Windows 8 x64, I mean, I think many packages are going to fail with the new OS (not because the package itself). This way, I am looking for the most compatible base for my lab.
I will use Windows 7 x86, if I don´t find anything better.
My goal is try cameyo in an environment where almost everything works well and trust the cameyo.
After, when dealing with windows 8, the troubles will be just like fun in my free time.
If your host is Win8 x64, then I would recommend using the same thing as your VM; otherwise, Win7 is a good choice as being similar.
Please note the following: 1. The version of Tera Copy that is currently in the Library was packaged with a build of Cameyo that was not yet Win8-compatible. This can be fixed by using -ChangeEngine parameter.
2. I wasn't able to get Chrome to work in x64. It is being looked into.
