Vos + exe too space consumption and use on guest pc
Permalink

Hi,

 beautiful app, thanks, three questions.

1:

I use portable app at university but I have only 50mb of disk space for my project so I use a usb pendrive

I pack with cameyo some application but the space consumption is too high, especially for a program of 400mb that became 400mb of cameyo exe plus 400mb of VOS structure, there's a way to separate VOS data from exe? A little exe that load only vos structure but not contain it?

2:

GhostCapture don't work on 64bit but I need for it, this feature is in roadmap? If yes, when?

A workaround can be start cameyo inside sandboxie, install the app in the virtual area and capture it, cameyo support this case?

3:

There's Cameyo portable version? Only packager and package editor?

Thanks

1. The next version of Cameyo will allow executing apps from memory without pre-extracting the program's files on disk (data files will still be written to disk, of course). But in the meanwhile, if you don't mind about keeping persistent app's data, you can use the Package Editor to configure your apps to remove all traces when they exit.

2. & 3. What version of Cameyo are you using?
(Cameyo has already been portable many versions back now)

1: Ok, I'll wait for next version.

you can use the Package Editor to configure your apps to remove all traces when they exit

I Know, but on hd I have only 50 mb of free space and on pendrive remain only 250 mb so there is no space for VOS structure. I will search an other way or an other application already portable.

3: I use the last version but I don't find Cameyo app in my hd, only vos structure where the link points.

2: My sandboxie idea works?

Thanks
