Hardware ID - is the end of portables?

Hi all, in recent years, I like to make my applications especially for the portable use an other pc without dirtying the system.

Lately I've noticed an increasing number of applications that leverage the HARDARE ID that prevent their migration to different hardware.

This is a problem because Cameyo, ThinApp, Spoon Application virtualization studio, etc. ... do exactly that.

The result is that the virtualized applications on a PC do not work on others because they recognize that the HOST is different from the original.

Two important examples are AutoCAD and the Adobe suite.

I know that these programs have a complex license agreement to use but if one day the HARDWARE ID dovessere be used by Mozilla for its applications, for example as you can make it portable firefox

I would like to clarify two points. It is important to note if you violate the license agreement or not, but it is important to understand if Cameyo can create portable applications with the HARDWARE ID

Thanks for the info.
In general, programs use the HARDWARE ID to protect against illegal copy (I see no other reason why they would use it). App Virtualization programs (or at least Cameyo) is not intended to help piracy.
I wouldn't be worried about this phenomenon spreading, and I believe this will remain the case only for copy-protected software. I don't see why other apps such as Mozilla etc would do the same.
