Cameyo not starting up Error
Permalink

Cameyo won't start up, all it shows is an error.

Cameyo 2.0 beta ERROR

This also happens with packaged apps

The only way i've found out how to get past this is to extract the files from Cameyo and put them in "C:\Program Files\Cameyo"

but then Cameyo isn't portable anymore, same goes with the packaged apps.

I am running a Windows 7 (64-bit) Home Premium

Please help!

Thanks.

It looks like something's not working there...
Can you do the following:
- Indicate what antivirus / security software you are using?
- Run Process Explorer (from Microsoft's Technet site)
- In there, select: "Show lower pane" and "View DLLs". Click on the process that appears in the Cameyo error message ("MyPID=....") and do "File -> Save as". Send me the result.
- Execute one of those failing Cameyo apps with the "-Troubleshoot" parameter, and send the resulting log.

You can send all that to: cameyo at cameyo.com

I am using "COMODO Internet Security" and "Microsoft Security Essentials" and "ThreatFire" and "Spybot - Search & Destroy" I've tried disabling them, but it still shows the error.

I have ran Process Explorer (Downloaded from the site) and i enabled "Show lower pane" and "View DLLs" but i cannot seem to find the Cameyo error message.

I've ran Cameyo in compatibility mode with all versions on Windows that they have in compatibility mode and still the same error.

I have ran Cameyo with the "-Troubleshoot" parameter and it shows and error no

here are the pictures below.

Hi. I had the same problem trying to start Cameyo in a virtual machine. I installed Windows XP professional and Cameyo wouldn't start. After installing servicepack 2 en 3 the problem was gone.

Succes

OK, so can you:
- Download: www.cameyo.com/downloads/MyDbg.exe and then run it.
- Then, run your Cameyo.
- Go into the MyDbg screen, select all lines (Home, Shift+End) and
Ctrl+C. Paste it into notepad and send me the logs (or post here, if it fits). This might give more insight.
Thanks

I don't know what to say.. nothing in the log shows any error. The most I can offer is to do a remote control session. If you'd like that, please contact me to cameyo at cameyo.com.

Btw: what language is your Windows?

RE: Cameyo not starting up Error, I solved it!

I had your same problem (running Win 7 64bit, comodo internet security) , but I've recently found the solution:

1. Open cameyo app proprieties and check the "run as admin" box

2. Right-click on anyone cameyo virtualized app that is not working and click on "explore on disk" option

3. Now you've found the app on explorer, open the virtualized app proprieties and check the "run as admin" box

4. Double-click on the app and everything should work fine!!!

P.S.: Don't set the "run in compatibility mode" option or it wouldn't work.

I had the same issue but my simple solution was to run the following command from command-line;

C:\Path-to\YourPrograms.exe" -Remove

Then re-run the exe and everything's alright!!! :)
