packager unable to open .cameyo packages...

I have created unencrypted packages for which the component files need to be extracted.

The free packager will NOT open packages, even those it created. The displayed message is:

Failed to open package. API error: FAILURE

How can the source files be extracted from the created packages?

Does this happen with every Cameyo package you build or just certain ones?

Are you able to open cameyo.exe with its Package Editor?

I'm not sure when this started but it has been the case for a few months.

No, the Package Editor will not open cameyo.exe

Are there dependencies, maybe even specific builds, which could the cause?

Have you tried running cameyo.exe -Remove, waiting for successful message, and then using Package Editor to open a package afterward?

Unfortunately, that doesn't solve the problem.

Does cameyo.exe requires any specific external dependencies such as a particular VC build?

Package Editor uses .NET.  Can you open these packages on a clean virtual machine?
