High-DPI compatibility
Permalink

Hi,

We use a virtualized application on a computer that has 2 screens, with Cameyo 3.1.1517, under Windows 10.

If a user modifies 100% default Windows display zoom, the application becomes blurred.

We found a workaround consisting in checking the box "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:" and selecting "System", in the Compatibility tab of our executable.

It seems that Cameyo is not built as a DPI aware application.

Did you know this problem ?

How did you solve it ? Is there an option to activate ? Is it possible to make this app DPI-aware ?

Regards

We have not seen this problem before.  Can you share the installer file with instructions of how to reproduce?  You can send by PM if you rather not share publicly.

Thank you for answer. However I'm not allowed to share this application.

What I know is that the application is blurred when a different zoom is applied between the 2 screens of a same computer, and switching the application from one screen to another.

By checking the box "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:" and selecting "System" the application is not blurred.

I saw on the Internet that applications must be written so as to be DPI-aware.

For the moment, our workaround is to set a value "~ DPIUNAWARE" for the specific path to our application, in the registry key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers].

It is equivalent to right-clic on the application and checking the box in compatibility tab...
