You can preserve the original URLs of your packages by going to the app's page and clicking Edit. From there, you can upload your package and it will maintain the same URL.
I tried to add a new app (creating a package from a setup file) but I always get an error.
At the moment nothing is possible on my account: I can not run existing apps or add new ones !!
Something wrong with my account? Do I need another license?
Another browser (I use seamonkey)?
Rather frustrating....
1. WaterElements
2. Same folder as the input file
3. Yes, there is "Save Data and Results as" following a file save dialog (if this is not prevented by Cameyo)
I tried "Save Data and Results as" but I cannot type something in the file save dialog. The screen flickers a while but nothing happens.
I could drag and drop the input file. But for running the program another file must be read. I uploaded this file but I need to know where the file is located on the server that the program can find it.
I see that the dragged input file is in ..\RapData\CHANGES.WaterElements\%Temp% but this is not the upload or download folder.
On starting my program copies some files from the program folder to c:\Users\[CurrentUser]\AppData\Roaming\WaterElements. I found these files in ..\RapData\CHANGES.WaterElements\%AppData%.
I don't see the function of this upload folder if my program cannot access this folder !!
I would expect that open dialog shows this upload folder. Then I could choose my uploaded file and open it. The other file that my program needs would also be in this folder and it would be no problem to access it.
In the status bar of my program I see the path where the input file should be located but if I open this folder I don't see the file (I guess that is because of the virtualization).
I can open this folder because my program can create file explorer windows when double clicking on the status bar.
How can I reproduce this? Can I use one of the .dat files that is in Program Files (x86)\WaterElements to drag and drop after clicking File | Open in the app?
Where would I get the second file that needs to be read?
Yes, some of the dat files (with English names) are loaded if you use "New >". The others with German names are used in a tutorial.
The second file is zuer8695.kmd
I could run "Simple Project" by choosing "New > Simple Project" and change the path to the rainfall file to C:\Program Files (x86)\WaterElements\ (command in editor: "Rainfall = RainfallFromFile(C:\Program Files (x86)\WaterElements\zuer8695.kmd, kmd)")
The program copies on start-up some example files to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\WaterElements. I see that you redirected this folder to C:\Users\RemoteUser2\Outbound.
If I choose "File/Save Results" the result files are also copied to this folder. Additionally each saved file invokes a download dialog for downloading on my computer. That's well meant, but a bit awkward because there are 4 to 6 result files depending on the complexity of the simulation.
It would be easier if the user could download the files at the end of the session only once.
But for examples and tutorial it works now. It the moment I would use it only for this.
You can find uploaded files in \\tsclient\Storage, or you can use %UserProfile%\Shared.
It may be useful to revert to the default File Open Save dialog instead of our custom dialog. It will permit you to navigate to other locations. Go to online.cameyo.com/policy and remove the check from Replace file open / save dialog box.
If you provide the files and instructions necessary for a complex simulation that causes multiple result files, I can test a workaround, i.e. downloading all files at the end of the session. You can post a link to the files here or send them by PM.
I unchecked "Replace file open / Save dialog box". That's better for my apps.
At the end I can save my project of interest with "Save Data and Results as" to \\tsclient\Storage\Downloads. Then I get for each file a download dialog box.
