Local machine users

Hi!

I set up a new, private server and I need the users to be authenticated in the local machine.

Do I need an AD or local machine users should do it? Because I can't login with the local users and I'm not sure why...

Update: installed Active Directory and still can't connect to it. I get a crashdump file, but I can't attach it here.

Local users can authenticate to the local machine using the Windows Authentication mode. No need for a domain controller.
Can you try with a different browser and a different user?

I tried Edge now, and I get a "The logon attempt failed" message, even if I can successfuly logon via TS. Any clues?

(Is there any special user permissions I should be aware of?)

Nevermind, found that Remote Desktop Services should be active.
