Hi,

Awesome software. Changing from previous Portable Software Creator to this. works really well, quick and fast.

Pity no Compress customizing available e.g ( tried the package.xml to test, only edited manually to save / save as but not used capture mode - failed )

- Setting Package Compression While Editing Package with Cameyo like in Advanced Menu etc...

Unable change Version in edit mode ( made small change or mistake etc.. ) e.g

- Setting a Program Version in Cameyo Edit Mode, original v2.1 edited v2.2 or v3.0 then saved / saved as.

  Still remains v2.1 in file properties, but edited again in cameyo and shows changed version, not reflect on file properties

  Only method was to recreate full package again to change any type of version change in file properties. PITA

Sorry if not got my question through.

 

Q. how to change compress and repackage without rebuilding whole package.

i have changed in package.xml and dragged cameyo over the package and still same, nothing

 

want to use higher / none compression

 

how to change version in file properties without remaking whole new package. update / edit does not work, retains old version

Yea with the current version it is a pain. First, edit package.xml and set the compression level you want. Save it to your desktop so it does not get overwritten in the next step. Now open cameyo and select edit a package. Select the cameyo.exe (may need to make a copy). Delete the package.xml file and delete it. Then import the one you saved on the desktop in the previous step. Now save. You have now changed the compression level. You can create multiple versions for each compression level you need.

As far as the file version goes, try using save as or recapturing the package. It may be an issue with cameyo. I sometimes have trouble with that myself. Also have trouble updating the icon as well. Hope they fix this soon.

thank you.

yes i have noticed a little buggy, not all my applications are captures, 80% are manual built to trim the fat etc..

I will try the method for compression and keep ya posted. thanx for the reply and help
