Help in online version
Permalink

Hi

I played one of my app in the browser. It works very well except the help (chm version). The fonts are much bigger than in the normal version and images are not displayed.

Is this a problem of Windows Server 2012 or Cameyo?

Concerning winhlp32 on Windows Server 2012: Is there no hack available? I found a corrected installation of winhlp32.exe for Windows 10 which works very well.

Thanks, Rolf

Please provide an url to the installer file.  You can PM me with it if you prefer not to post it publicly.

Also, please advise url of corrected installation of winhlp32.exe for Win10.

Concerning winhlp32.exe:

- I have to update my help files from hlp to chm anyway because I cannot expect that my customers install the hack to run winhlp32.exe and I fear that Microsoft will not provide an official functional winhlp32.exe for Windows 10 or Server 2012. They want to force us using chm format.

- Is there a possibility to add winhlp32.exe to the Cameyo package in order to run it for displaying the hlp file? What Windows version is used by the virtualization?

Thanks for the winhlp32.exe information.  Since the hack is not supported by Microsoft, we do not want to install it on a public server that is accessed by other users; however, you can host a private server and try it on yours.

It may be possible to achieve your goal by including winhlp32.exe with your package.  The executable works on Win7, 8, 8.1, 10, and Server 2012.

I was able to reproduce the missing image on later OSes than Win7.  I am in communication with R & D regarding it.
