Can't figure out how "Drag & Drop" feature in file-picker works

Hi,

I'm running a Cameyo package through a browser and when it comes time to choose a file I get the file picker that allows me to select a file from my Google drive (as expected).  There is a button called "Drag & Drop" which I would think should allow me to select a file from my PC and copy it to the Google drive so that I can then select it.

 

When I click on the button the message says "Drag & drop here files from your computer".  I then open the file picker on my PC and drag a file into the file picker in my application.  The message in the bottom right corner say 'Upload of "filename" complete".  But I don't see the file in the file picker within my application and I therefore cannot select it.

Am I not using it correctly, or does this feature not work?

Hello Al,

Yes, you are using Drag & Drop correctly, but there is a bug that occurs when a file has already been uploaded and an attempt is made to open it again as the same RemoteUser even if by a different app.  As a temporary workaround, you can give the file a unique name and the package should open it.  If the clock icon flashes during the upload process (see attached image), the file should open.  If you don't see the clock icon, please try renaming the file and opening again through Drag & Drop.

We have this on our to-fix list.

Still no luck.

I renamed the file to a name I've never used before and then tried it but got the same result.

Also, I don't see clock icon. I see the progress bar in the bottom right corner followed by the message 'Upload of "filename" complete'.

What happens if you try Drag & Drop with one of our public apps, e.g. a pdf from your computer uploaded to Foxit Reader?

It works the same way with your public apps. I tried it with Notepad++ and exactly the same thing happens.

It works the same way on the public server as it does when we use our HTML5 server. Which is to say that it still doesn't work.

Are you using Internet Explorer?  Can you try another browser?
