Apps don't work when moved?

Hello!

Here is what i have:

Cameyo 2.6.11.80

OS Windows 7x64

I made two copies of Cameyo, first one to run, and second one to edit (cameyo2.exe)

I set options:

Virtualization = RAM mode

Isolation = Data mode (default)

Data storage = under the executable's directory (I don't want any traces to be poured into C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\)

Integration = no

Remove traces upon app exit = leave no registry traces

Volatile virtual registry = yes (default)

and saved the package back

Now I have an edited package within cameyo2.exe. Right?

I close cameyo.exe and run cameyo2.exe from the same directory and I get:

I encountered this problem when I wanted to repack your LibreOffice package.

The LibreOffice package from your online gallery is not portable at all!

It dumps a lot of garbage into C:\Users\ without which it resets to the default state or even crash.

It is just a defeat of the purpose!

So I began to experiment with repackaging software and found it just ceased to start, both LibreOffice and Cameyo.

Well, long story short.

Which options should I set for a custom package to:

1) prevent any garbage all around my (and neighbour's) hdd and stay within the one and only folder where the whateverapplicaton.cameyo.exe file is put.

2) still store tune-ups and settings I modify (such as tab size and language in LibreOffice, including custom macros I can eventually add at any time)

3) keep possibility to run the package on any computer without internet and with software settings restored

?

My goal is to save myself from reinstalling all the software after reinstalling a crashed windows. It takes almost a month to restore full functionality of my system.

Thank you!

Hello EndUser,

Please change Virtualization to Disk mode for Cameyo to see if it resolves the error you received.

For LibreOffice, exactly what is it that you are doing that results in garbage being written to the real system in C:\Users?  I launched the current LibreOffice package from the Library, which is LibreOffice v.4.1.4.2 packaged by Cameyo-2.5.1154, selecting Writer, and I didn't see anything dumped in C:\Users.  If we can duplicate what you are doing, it would be easier to test.
