I am trying to create my first virtualized application and am running into an issue.
I am using Oracle Virtual Box, have setup a Windows 7 x86 environment, updated to all the latest hotfixes, started Cameyo, installed my application, clicked on the "install done", and then about 15 min later I get a dialog with the information
Could not finalize package
APIRET=1
Note: I have tired this with the current version 2.0.890 and with the current beta version 2.5.1053.0
Do you have enough space on your hard drive? I would suggest having a good three times the space required by the installer, e.g. if your application takes up 1.5GB, you should have no problem building a package if you have 4.5-5GB free space.
Good question -- I have a 60gb drive setup, and only 25gb are used after the installation is complete. I just rolled back the VM to an earlier snapshot and am trying again.
Question -- do yo think this could be a performance issue (as in the VM disk i/o is causing an issue with the package builder)? Are there any logs I can look at to get more information?
Is your installer something that can be found online for us to test? If not, is it something you can upload to a file-hosting site? Please send me a private message if it's not something that can be shared publicly.
I have the same problem, trying to create virtualized application of Kingsoft Office Free 2013, version 9.1.0.4058, that can be downloaded here: http://download.cnet.com/Kingsoft-Office-Free-2013/3000-18483_4-75563178.html
Is is actually working with Cameyo v2.0.890, but not with beta version 2.5.1058.
The "issue" I had was due to the fact that I ran once the beta version of Cameyo once (2.5.1053 & 2.5.1058). Then, when I tried to run again the final version (2.0.890) from the exe file, it actually always run the beta version!!! In order to run the final version, I had to delete Cameyo folder/files from here:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Cameyo\
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\VOS\Cameyo\
For information, my OS is Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit.
