Package (with dependencies) silently fails
Permalink

Hello everyone,

I am trying to virtualize the GNU 8085 simulator (http://gnusim8085.org/).

Since most windows computers don't have the GTK+ runtime installed, I used the 8085 installer which includes the runtime. This runtime has its own installer that the 8085 sim installer extracts and executes. After the runtime installation completes, the 8085 setup also finishes.

The Cameyo packager creates the package and it runs on the original machine, however, on all other machines it silently fails:

  • On first launch, the usual bottom right "preloading package" appears.
  • The virtual exe then exits, without an error message.

It is probable that the GTK+ link is not formed properly since uninstalling the runtime from the original machine causes the same silent failure.

So I have two main questions:

  1. Can Cameyo virtualize the GTK+ library?
  2. If yes, are there any usual problems when making a package with dependencies included?

Thanks for any help!
