I thought I'd try out EASEUS Partition Manager, since I have a few USB drives I would like to repartition, it wouldn't work (apparently it requires a driver installation that wasn't captured by the packager), so I went to the cameyobox section in the launcher, clicked the "-" that the hovertext said to click to remove from the cameyobox. Now, every time I launch the cameyo launcher (%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Cameyo Apps\cameyo-2.0.873.exe), it re-downloads the app! And, if I leave the launcher open for long enough, it'll keep trying to redownload the app, EVEN THOUGH I TOLD IT TO REMOVE IT!
I even tried removing it from the "Computer" section, where it first asked if I really wanted to remove the app and its data directory, I clicked "Yes", then it asked if I wanted to remove it from my CameyoBox, and I again told it "yes". It hasn't made any difference.
I checked my private app library online (at http://online.cameyo.com/library.aspx?mode=Private), and it shows EPM there, but there is no option to remove ANYTHING from that page. How do I finally get RID of this phantom app? Is there something I'm missing, or overlooking?
Has there been any change since you posted, i.e. is Cameyo still downloading the app you removed from CameyoBox?
Well, it's finally out of my cameyo box, via web browser, but the actual Cameyo app is still insisting on downloading the thing.
Edit: Well, I closed the app, itself, after re-checking the cameyo box in-browser, deleted the partial download, restarted cameyo, and it's nowhere to be found, and not downloading. Strange, but, unless it starts doing this again, I don't think I'll complain. I noticed that the web site's appearance has changed a little, maybe something just kinda hiccupped up there, or something?
The developer did some cleaning up, which may or may not solve the issue, which is why I asked if you were still experiencing it.
If you find it happening again, naturally, we would appreciate a report, but you should know there is something you can use as a workaround: in the Cameyo Menu, click the wrench icon (Settings), uncheck Automatically download my CameyoBox apps, and click OK.
I'll keep that in mind, I guess I had been overlooking it earlier (I thought I might be overlooking something like this, thanks for pointing this out to me).
If I may make a suggestion to the developer, maybe add an option to add and remove an app from my CameyoBox? I'm not sure if it would have made much of a difference, since the issue seems to have stemmed from a server glitch, but, it would provide better control over a user's CameyoBox, whether or not they had access to the Cameyo app, directly.
