Old package not running anymore

Hi,

In the past, I packaged the SAGE50 Accounting aplication and I used it for more than a year as a Cameyo package. I recently had to reinstall my laptop and since then, the package does not run anymore. Thought going to the cloud, but the package is too huge for the free version (250 mb). I do not see much information on the reason why the package dos not run anymore, just receiving an error message, with SAGE50Accounting.exe error=2...

 

Any hint ?

Have you tried running the package with -Remove parameter and launching again after the successful message?  Documentation here.

Hum, this helped at least to let me discover I did not copy everything aww, i.e. not the xxxx.cameyo.changes directory. Will check further. Thanks for the help so far.

Still having the issue. Actually, the package installs 2 services on le host. But when trying to start the services, I receive the message saying that C:\Program Files (x86)\Winsim\ConnectionManager\SimplyConnectionManager.exe cannot be found.

Must be a path problem, since I can find the file in C:\Users\Philippe\AppData\Roaming\VOS\Sage Comptabilit Version 2015\PROG\%Program Files (x86)%\winsim\ConnectionManager

Are we talking about the same package from a year ago?  The one I built here...?

Indeed. As mentioned earlier, I used it for 1 year without problem and now, after having moved it to a fresh installed PC, i receive these error messages.

Since the package is still available for download, I'll give another try with a fresh download.

So here is the result: I downloaded the package again and could run it. Activation process was OK and services created. However, when trying to open de "enterprise" data, I received the message saying that the "Connexion Manager is not running". The service exists, but when trying to start it, the Error=2 (file not found) is shown.

What OS are you using?

If I Select an existing company, I am able to open \Documents\Simply Accounting\Backups\CAN2015\UNIVERSL_bak_2016.03.10.18.47.SAI. Are there additional steps to take for me to reproduce your error?  I am not sure what opening "enterprise" data means.

OS is Windows 10 x64 Enterprise. Had this version previously as well. Opening enterprise data means "opening all saved accounting activities and status". This contains all accounting information. In my case, when I try to open the data file "Anis au Pays des Merveilles v2.SAI" I have an error message saying that the SAGE 50 Connection Manager is not running. This should be one of the 2 services created during the 1st run. On my system, services are created but do not start due to this "Error=2" problem.

If the service is up and running on your machine, you should not have the issue.

Another possible hint: when I chose the option "Gestionnaire de connexion de Sage 50[ShowDlgOnly]" (2nd option), I have a window giving the status of this Connection Manager. It shows as not running, which corresponds to the status of the service. However, I should be able to start it from this Window. I have however a message saying I should be an administrator to be able to start the service. I AM an administrator, but still this message displays.

What do you see on your system ?

Well. Forget it. It must have been something about the user account, because I recreated a new account and on this one ... it works! Thanks for the help.
