Is it ok to rename a Cameyo-generated exe?

For example, can I rename

King's Quest I 4c.cameo.exe

to

King'a Quest 1 AGDI remake.exe

Or will this mess up something? In other words I'm wanting to rename the first part of the filename as well as remove the .cameyo, if that's allowed. I just want to make sure that this won't mess up anything, and/or that I wouldn't need to make additional changes in the package editor.

Additionally, what are friendly name and application ID used for?

Yes, you can rename Cameyo packages, including removing cameyo from the double extension.

By using -StartCapture and -EndCapture, you can give the name you want to Cameyo before the package is built.  Documentation here.

Example: Cameyo.exe "-OutputExe:%userprofile%\Desktop\boom.exe" -EndCapture

Keep in mind that if your package was saved as DAT, you will have to rename both the .dat and .exe files so that they are the same.

From here, Application ID is the ID used internally by Cameyo for uniquely identifying the application. It is also the name of the sub-directory into which Cameyo will expand the application's local storage files.

Friendly name is for your own use.
