Hello Cameyo Team, here's my further TAKE on Cameyo usability.......
2) it seems that in the Cameyo Browser sessions.....your accessing a "node" (so to speak) of a Virtual machine. You don't actually see anything-- -much other than the APP you are trying to run....and FOlder searches......
3) With the above being true, (maybe)?.....then if a Cameyp customer (like me) wants to use some APP that actually has dependencies, such as a NET framework, then that changes the ball game?.....is it possible?.

WHy do i ask?.....

......well there is an APP here which builds my final
executable of whatever program i created and i believe it wraps
the NET components into the final exe. So the TARGET machine (Cameyo session)
for my created Program does not need any framework installing (NET)
and also it does not need the runtime engine of the HOST APP that
i created my EXE program in.

I am therefor hoping that i can just upload my finished EXE programs to Cameyo sessions and they will work...

5) i have actually tried it and they DID work...........they were extremely simple
apps is)......well.....pretty simple (Road traffic accident reconstruction) apps.

I am a simpleton, but it is wonderful to maybe make an EXE app
and be able to share it across the worlds computers in multiple instances
at the same time (with global users). In other words anybody can use my app (an instance of it)

please clarify.... Vince

i.e. what if you DID need
net dependancy issues as at the start of this post?

Best practice is to build Cameyo packages on a clean virtual machine, i.e. a system that has nothing installed on it except the Operating System itself.  Include in your capture any prerequisites, e.g. .NET.  This brief guide may be helpful.

okay i see.

 

without cans of worms getting opened....

 

i tried the Cameyo Virtual app "ORACLE virtual machine

free in public app sets you offer......it didn't work.

 

are you on Xen?....HyperV?........

 

It is (off topic) ......why is Android Cameyo player store APP not priced? Since free apps introducing the notion that your TIME

is somehow free for us to SNAG...."time-outs" is best practice?

 

I know that full bare metal servers "Brand new" quad core

machines 2 gigs of RAM and optional 30 OS's are "point 2 cents"

per hour rent  (Scaleway)  pAY AS YOU GO......

 

rant rant.  Ok beg beg   please make the above a freemium

model.

Will any global friends that i give the "unlisted" web link to them

to run my EXE apps  (via cameyo)....will their sessions time out?

I only think an hour is reasonable . Time slice your HyperV

and extrapolate them to that end. Thanks

Hello Cameyo,

 

i see you have no answes to quite serious questions.

 

Re-read the topics above and do something about it to

that end. Quote me  in a reply your roadmap about how

users can best actually properly use Cameyo online browser

sessions. Don't take too long to reply or your session will

time out.     I only ask because  it will be on the lips

of oceans of users who need answers.

 

Like lots of IT devs and so forth, you may take dinasours to

even really computer that i am , in a sense, trying to help

Cameyo. For what it's worth.  Thx
