Online Packager doesnt work
Permalink

Whenever I try to use the online packager i get the following error:

Connection Error

An internal error has occured within the server, and the
connection has been terminated. Please restart application.

I tried different application and browsers.

Am I missing something?

Hello MarkusM,

Online Packager is working for me.  Please provide an installer file or url of a program that results in Connection Error when you submit it to Online Packager.

I was unable to reproduce with your Foxit Reader.  Some questions:

  1. Are you submitting the installer file by url or uploading from local machine?
  2. Is Destination My Apps or Dropbox?
  3. Are you using Auto or Manual Mode?
  4. Have you ever had success with Online Packager?
  5. What is the url of the window that says Connection Error?

1. From the local machine
2. My Apps
3. Manual Mode
4. Unfortunately not

Additional note:
I have just build a package with the "Auto Mode" setting without any problems.
But when I tried to start the package (via Play) again i get the Connection error.

Then i tried to run one of the package from your general apps library. Again, i run into the Connection error.
Here is the URL when i run the VCL App:
http://saturn.cameyo.com:8080/client.xhtml?id=c/play&appName=VLC&token=4b47ebb0-c57b-45f9-becf-451c378baf7f

Very strange. I've switched of the Firewall allready. But with no success.
Is there any Browser setting which i should check?
Do I need Java or any other 3rd Party plugin?

Additional note 2:
Ok, I have just tested everything with a blank Win8.1 machine and verything works fine.
The problems only occure with my Windows 10 Pro Edition (tested with Edge, IE + Firefox)
Are there any known issues regarding Win 10?

Thanks
Markus

Thanks for the information, including the test on the clean Win8.1 machine.  I have not heard of any issues on Win10.  I tested on a clean Win10 VM; Edge, IE, and Firefox all played public apps without error.  Is there any way you can set up a clean Win10 VM and test?

For your Information:
On a clean Windows 10 Installation everything works fine.
So thanks for your support!
If I find a solution to my problem with the other PC i'll add the solution to this thread.

A last request:
Could you please have a brief look at my other post
http://cameyo.activeboard.com/t61051044/packager-error/

I have no idea how to solve the "New manifest ist bigger than the original." error , because I have no clue what the message means.

Thanks again
Markus

Thank You.  I would appreciate a follow-up post if you find out anything.  I know you said you disabled your firewall; normally, I would suspect some kind of security software to be the cause.

Regarding your other topic, I did have a look at it and reported it to the developers.  In the meantime, please post again to the same topic if you run across any other software that gives the same error.

Thanks.
