Sync tool ending up in VOS instead of local machine
Permalink

Hello All,

I Made a portable app for a sync tool but the problem is that the sync is syncing in the VOS folder instead of the local machine.

Wat do I need to change ?

Hello Flitz,

If you want your package to write to the real FileSystem instead of the virtual FileSystem, use Package Editor to change Isolation.  You can change Isolation mode under the General tab, which is a global setting, or you can change Folder Isolation under the Files tab, which sets Isolation for individual folders.  Please see here for documentation on Package Editor.

Tip: if you need to give Full access to a drive, Add empty folder and name it with the drive letter followed immediately by an underscore, e.g. F_

Tnx for your reply,

Wat is the differents between Strictly isolation and isolation ?

I only need 1 folder on the real system and all the rest virtual

Full access = package reads and writes to real FileSystem

Isolated = package reads real FileSystem, writes to virtual FileSystem

Strictly isolated = package reads and writes files to virtual FileSystem

For your purposes, giving Full access to the one folder you want synchronized and leaving the rest with their default Isolation should work.
