group policies: override registry value with virtualized key is possible but has no effect
Permalink

Hi.

I tried to override a group policy registry entry within a virtual app's registryvalue.

Unfortuantely the application (RunDll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation  = Lock the computer) ignored the value within the package.

What is the default behaviour of cameyo concerning group policy values?

Package Properties

application :

startup: RunDll32.exe

Parameters: user32.dll,LockWorkStation

Key with in the package ist ("%CurrentUser%\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System DisableLockWorkstation"  "DisableLockWorkstation"  =  0)

REG ADD "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" /v "DisableLockWorkstation" /d 0 /t REG_DWORD /f

Virtualisation: Ram Mode

Isolation: full

GPO settings are per user / session, not per application. You cannot set a LockWorkstation policy for one app and a different policy for another app.
