File not placed in defined location

Hi,

I made a package of PSE 8 for my daughter. She has a laptop from her work and is not allowed to install applications. My idea was to make a package on my PC, place it on an external USB disk (WD), so she could use her bussineslaptop or a laptop/pc from a friend to run PSE from the external device. All files and photo's should be placed on the WD. I had the idea to use the following structure:

PSE 8.

** here the copy of the package and data storage under the executable's directory

Photolibrary folder

Photo's, catalogs etc.

But now I notice that a file that I placed inside the Photolibrary folder is actually placed in the CHANGES folder. I don't understand why this happened and I also don't want it there because I use a certain backup procedure and only the data has to be backed-up. I tried to find optons to edit, but none seems to deal with this. Please look at the attachements.

Well, I'm not sure the attachments are "Attached"

Kind regards,

John

Hello John,

Files are written to the CHANGES directory because your package is isolating writes from the host system.  This is by default and design.  Please go here for some information on Isolation.

Using Package Editor, you can give Full access to the Photolibrary folder and the files will be saved to the real FileSystem instead of the virtual FileSystem.
