Hello Merco,

It seems that the VS 2010 app (SMS3DManual) needs to be set for x86.  SAP Visual Enterprise Viewer launches without problem on x86 and x64; the Manual launches on x86 machines but fails on x64 systems.  If you set the target for x86, it should then work on x64, too.

@Merco,

Can you upload the installer for the Manual?  I would like to focus on the Manual because this seems to be where the problem is.  If you are not comfortable with uploading the installer publicly, please send me a private message.

@Darkstudio,

Thank you for the PM.  I shall reply by message after I have looked at your new package.

... another strange issue.

My virtual app doesn't run on some Pcs (i suppose win7 ultimate) if i put the file on the desktop and run it from there!

Everything runs if i move it in c:\users\public !!!

YES !

don't worry... i was at home...

So the problems remains the same.

1) the external DLL fail to load in some environments (pnly if I merge sources it runs ok)

2) runnning the virtApp fails on some locations of the same pc (i.e. desktop ....)

I understand the first point, i.e. SMS3DManual fails in x64.  I shall play with this more and get back to you if I uncover anything useful.

I am unable to duplicate the second point, i.e. my packages work the same whether executed from Desktop or from another location.  Do you have Data storage set to the same directory for each copy (Default or same Custom location)?

The app packet is the same.

Then my curomers runs it on the desktop PC and it fails, after copy it to a "safe" location (c:\users\public) it runs ok.

Maybe some UAC issue?

In regards to your package not launching from Desktop, please run from Desktop with -Troubleshoot parameter.  Upload the log and PM me the link.
