Can Cameyo replace XPMode? (run 16 bit app in 64bit OS)

If I package a 16 bit app using the 32bit version of Windows XP - can I run it later in the 64bit version of Windows 7?

Since Windows 64 bit operating systems will not run 16bit applications (without running them as virtualized 32 bit apps) I am wondering if using Cameyo would work.

I have a couple of old apps that I use and I currently have to run them in XPMode if I want to use them on my Windows7 64 PC.

Looks like you still need hardware virtualization / XP mode for what you're trying to accomplish. Not Cameyo.

It /might/ be possible if you capture the difference between enabling legacy mode applications, which would show you the necessary files etc for that, but the 16bit applications would still be recognised by the OS as such and would still generate the error.
